Inaugural Australian Public Service and WITEM™ Women in ICT Awards


The inaugural APS and WITEM™ Women in ICT Awards were developed by the Department of Finance and Deregulation and Dell Australia in response to a suite of recommendations aimed at enhancing the management of the APS ICT skills base from the Review of the Australian Government’s use of Information and Communication Technology.

The awards  recognised excellence across a number of categories centred on the attraction, retention and progression of female ICT talent within the APS and from private and public sector organisations in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.

Applications were women and their mentors working in ICT in all Australian Government agencies and past and present participants in the WITEM™ programs.
