Konnector offers a new level of interaction between colleagues

The Orijen Group > Konnector

After 30 years of assisting organizations in the management of their people and their information, Orijen has developed a new modular, web-based software system (Konnector) to provide guidance and support to valued performers and to enable the successful transfer of information and sharing of knowledge.

Konnector facilitates the entire knowledge sharing, mentoring and coaching process from registration to completion and evaluation. Its state of the art technology enables ALL workers (including those in remote locations) to both share their accumulated knowledge and expertise and/or to receive the support and direction they require in order to reach their goals.

ABOUT KONNECTOR

Konnector software dramatically reduces the time necessary for matching, administration and coordination of mentor programs. The software identifies up to 6 best-fit matches in a data-base from which the user (or coordinator) selects the preferred mentor . Konnector  not only enables significant savings in costs and resources, it also manages the program milestones, monitors and evaluates and provides compliance reporting (given ASX requirements).

Benefits of using Konnector’s leading-edge technology:

o  Significant savings in time and resources to set up and administer the mentoring program, with consequent reduction in administrative burdens and costs

o  The program  continues in perpetuity, regardless of possible changes in staffing.

o  The criteria and content for matching are configured to reflect the specific competencies being    sought and can be weighted or prioritised if required.

o  Mentors and mentees are able to apply automated self-selection to find their best-match easily, or can be matched by a third-party coordinator,

o  The capacity to incorporate personal judgement subjectivity in final hand-matching where warranted

o  Searches can be driven by both mentors and mentees

o  Collaboration tools, support materials, and additional utilities are available to help keep relationships on track and participants engaged.

o  Mentoring partnerships are supported in both online and offline interactions

o  Progress and participant satisfaction are regularly monitored,  easily tracked and comprehensive end-user assistance is provided

o  An integrated database creates connections at all levels, both across and down organizational structures and hierarchies

o  The Program sponsor/administrator is able to access reports, and check the progress of the mentoring process without breaching confidentiality of the interaction of the partners.

o  E-learning mentor training modules can be incorporated to enable easy induction of both mentors and mentees.

o  Skill gaps and needs are identified through the mentoring process and captured via the monitoring system. Modules will be developed to address these needs

By enabling these connections, Konnector provides the solutions for the long term sustainability needs for:

  • Leadership and talent management
  • Knowledge retention, transfer and sharing
  • Support for new hires, graduates and those re-entering the workforce
  • Smooth transition to retirement.

Its technology enables:

  • Specific groups to be targeted- eg women, graduates, minority groups etc.
  • All workers - past and present - to both share their accumulated knowledge and expertise and/or to receive the support and direction they require in order to reach their goals.
  • National and international programs to engage remote location workers and the retirees.
  • People to participate at the time it suits their work and life pattern.
