A unique partnership of professional and trade associations - the Master Builders’ Association, Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the National Association of Women in Construction - was formed specifically to deliver our Constructive Mentoring project, funded by the Australian Government's Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business program through it business program delivery division, AusIndustry.
The Constructive Mentoring project will help local business operators further develop their business skills. It will link experienced and successful business owners and operators with others who may be just starting out, or feel isolated, or could do with access to some practical know-how related to their industry. Knowledge is passed on through a range of workshops, business training, networking opportunities and mentoring relationships.
The project targets women business operators in the design, building and construction industries, and will match women with specific skill needs with mentors already well-experienced in that area.
And we have high hopes for Constructive Mentoring. The project was created in partnership with relevant professional associations that want to offer useful support services to their members, and already have high quality professional skills programs on offer.
All activities are available at times that suit women with career responsibilities, and resources are also available on line.
There's no cost to participants if they or their employer is a member of any of the partner associations.
